Copper Sunset, Clevedon

What Might Be

Hello and thank you for taking an interest in my web site. I hope you will find it interesting.

As you will see, the News section gives information about forthcoming exhibitions and, my web designer and I try to keep this up to date as much as possible.

The gallery is divided into sections so that it is easier to look at a particular genre.

My husband, Dave, and I settled in Clevedon 18 years ago and we really like living here. The listed Victorian Clevedon Pier, the sea front and other parts of the North Somerset coast are subjects that I return to often, especially as the changing light and the wonderful sunsets are great subjects for paintings.

In addition to landscapes, there are two other subject areas that I really enjoy depicting. I like to tell a story in my paintings and so if I come across people who trigger a story idea I cannot wait to get my brushes out. Similarly, still life holds the same interest and I try to include some sort of narrative, even if it is obvious only to me.

The use of colour is important to me and I usually have a particular limited palette for each painting, trying to keep the image as clean as possible and not at all muddy even when it is the North Somerset coast!

Please feel free to comment on anything about the web site or to contact me should you like to know more about my paintings or my range of greeting cards and prints.

Thanks again for visiting. I hope you like the work.
